IPS Cell Line Derivation & Differentiation

Induced pluripotent stem (IPS) cell lines are created by reprogramming somatic cells. Like embryonic stem (ES) cells, IPS cell lines can proliferate indefinitely in vitro while retaining the ability to differentiate into any adult cell type, such as nerve, heart, or liver cells.

The IPS cell line has broad clinical applications, including:

  • Disease modeling

  • Developing treatments for cardiac disease, diabetes, and neurodegenerative disorders or injuries

  • Testing patient-specific drug responses using IPS cell lines

IPS Cell Line Derivation

  • Maintenance, freezing, and expansion of IPS cell lines

IPS Cell Differentiation

IPS cell line differentiation is available for multiple cell types, including cardiac, neural, endothelial, and keratinocyte cells. Differentiated iPS cells combine the convenience of in vitro stem cell-based models with the relevance of primary cells, while avoiding the lot-to-lot variability issues and derivation associated with primary human cells.

  • Generation and delivery of 2 million differentiated cells of the requested lineage, with data and report included

  • Characterisation of derivative cell types based on lineage-specific marker analyses

  • Optional Pathogen Testing Service is also available

  • Development and validation of custom in vitro bioassays based on IPS cells
