Induced pluripotent stem (IPS) cells can be directly derived from somatic cells by ” reprogramming ” technology. IPS cells, similarly to embryonic stem (ES) cells, are capable of unlimited proliferation in vitro and still maintain the ability to differentiate into any clinically relevant adult cell type, including nerve, heart, of liver.
In this capacity, IPS cells have widespread clinical potential for modelling disease and helping develop treatments for cardiac disease, diabetes, and various neurodegenerative disorders or injuries. By using iPS cells, we are able to test how different patients might respond to new drugs.
We offer to generate IPS cell lines from healthy and diseased individuals:
We offer differentiating IPS cell lines to multiple cell types including cardiac, neural, endothelial and keratinocyte. Cell types differentiated from iPS cells ensure the convenience of in vitro stem cell-based models with the relevance of primary cells but without the lot-to-lot variability issues and derivation associated with primary human cells.
Development and validation of custom in vitro bioassays based on IPS cells.
