Cell Isolation, Cultivation & Manipulation

Cell Isolation

Our Cell Isolation Service offers comprehensive solutions for isolating cells from various tissue types and desired cell populations. Our process involves the following steps:

  • Tissue collection: we ensure proper handling and transportation from the hospital or clinic to preserve the cells’ viability and integrity.

  • Tissue processing: our experienced team performs tissue processing, which involves dissociating cells to obtain a single-cell suspension. Our protocol is designed to release individual cells minimising damage to the cells.

  • Cell separation/ purification: we isolate the specific cell population you require using state-of-the-art techniques. This can involve sorting based on size, specific markers, or functional characteristics, ensuring a purified population of cells.

  • Cell viability and Quality assessment: We assess the viability of isolated cells using trypan blue exclusion. The purity of the population is ensured by analysing specific cell markers using flow cytometry or histological staining.

  • Cell delivery or storage: As part of our service, we provide options for cell delivery or storage. We offer cryopreservation, ensuring long-term viability, and can assist with cell banking to preserve your valuable cell population for future use.

Cell Cultivation and Manipulation

The scalable cell cultivation and manipulation service is designed to meet the need for many cells for experimentation, therapeutic or industrial processes. Our service provides a controlled and optimised environment for the growth and expansion of cells while maintaining their key characteristics. Our process involves the following steps:

  • Cell culturing and expansion: we ensure controlled culture conditions, including temperature and humidity.

  • Optimisation: to enhance cell growth, our service also focuses on optimisation. This involves identifying and formulating a suitable growth medium and finding the optimal culturing conditions.

  • Cell manipulation: Gene editing can be performed at different stages of cell growth to generate desired cell lines or modify existing ones.

  • Quality control and characterisation: throughout the cultivation process, quality control measures are implemented to ensure the desired characteristics of the cells.

  • Cell harvesting and delivery: our service includes cell harvesting and delivery options. This involves enzymatic or mechanic detachment of cells from the culture vessels, filtration and centrifugation to obtain the concentrated cell suspension. The cells can be delivered in a suitable format for further processing.
